Strategic partnership: ORBIS and FACTON combine automotive capabilities

The aim of this cooperation is to provide automotive suppliers with the best possible support in the implementation of consistent, standardized and transparent inquiry, product costing and quotation processes. This is an important prerequisite for meeting the requirements of the automotive manufacturer (OEM) in terms of cost breakdown (CBD) for new components as well as for Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).

For this purpose, ORBIS has combined the CRM industry package ORBIS AutomotiveONE on the basis of Microsoft Dynamics 365 with the FACTON EPC suite - with the focus on FACTON EPC Solution Cost Management. For automotive suppliers, this integration represents a real added value because they benefit from the cumulative advantages of an integrated CRM overall solution for their request-for-quotation and costing processes. ORBIS AutomotiveONE covers the specific process requirements of the automotive supply industry, such as processing new component inquiries, quoting and pricing, and working with OEMs in product development. The costing of new components is calculated in FACTON EPC Cost Management - consistent, fast, secure and of high quality.

The entire process from inquiry to costing to quotation is controlled from the ORBIS CRM solution. In practice it works as follows: If a request for new components including the commercial and technical information has been created in the CRM software, the data required for a cost calculation is transferred to the FACTON solution at the touch of a button. Once the calculation is completed, the result is immediately transferred to the CRM industry solution. Alternatively, the calculation can also be started by entering the CRM request number in the FACTON software because employees from the costing department often do not have a CRM user license.
